Ropecon was the great success, there was second biggest number of visitors. Something like 3700 people attending if I remember corrently. I have been there almost every year, and every year I find something new.
What is Ropecon, a snippet form their own pages. Ropecon, the largest non-commercial roleplaying festival in Europe,
took place from 25th to 27th of July in Otaniemi, Espoo. The festival
attracts over 3500 visitors interested in roleplaying, card games,
miniatures, board games, LARPs. Ropecon is not only about playing or
gaming, but the event also has various presentations or workshops with a
wide variety of interesting topics. The Ropecon event has been held each annually from the year 1994. The
very first Ropecon was held in hotel Paasitorni, Helsinki. After 1994
the number of attendees has increased drastically and a larger venue was
needed, and thus the Ropecon was moved to Dipoli, Espoo, where Ropecon
is organized for the 15
th time thus far.
